I think I understand what you are asking, however I think you would want a 1/4" male to XLR male, the 1/4" going into the Audio 2 DJ and the XLR into the powered speakers
Well not really. The 1/4 inch on the audio 2 is a TRS (tip, ring, sleeve) which is stereo; and XLR’s are mono. So i would recommend getting a cable like this…
Im kind of a newbie to this stuff and I have a question. I have the audio 2 DJ and im looking to hook it up to either one or two Active speakers (not sure yet). Si if I understand correctly what you need to do is use an “insert cable” to go from my audio 2 DJ and split it into 2 mono cables… here’s where I get confused,
-the two mono 1/4 inch males coming from my audio 2 DJ, do I put them in the IN and PARA OUT on the DI box?? Or do you only put one in the IN on the DI box
also..
then you take a male XLR cable straight to the speaker? Which input to I put the XLR cable in on the speaker, and if I end up getting a second speaker to I simply just link the two speakers with an XLR cable..
Kind of confused sorry if these are stupid questions.
only one in on the DI box. um I don’t know what speakers you have, but you can daisy bridge them… But usually XLRS go to the amp and speaker cable hooks the speakers… I think you got your terms wrong/
Thank you for the response. The speakers are powered so there would be no amp required. So I guess my question should be how to connect the DI box to two powered speakers.
what you want is the audio 2 dj to go from one channel (A or B) to the input of the DI box. Then you want the output of the DI box to go to the input of one powered speaker. Then you take another xlr or 1/4 inch (depending on the ports of the DI box or speakers) and bring it from the output to the speaker (that you put the DI box in input) and bring it to the input of the 2nd speaker. This is called a Daisy chain or a bridge. Hope I could help.
