Dubstep Dubstep is a genre of electronic music that has its roots in London’s early 2000s UK garage scene. The genre’s name was coined by Ammunition Promotions. Musically, dubstep is distinguished by its dark mood, sparse rhythms, and emphasis on bass. Dubstep started to spread beyond small local scenes in late 2005 and early 2006,… resource: wikipedia
The more and more I hear it, I start liking it more. At first I was like…wtf… seems slow, almost boring. That all changed when you hear this music on a BIG sound system. You can really feel the bass move through your body. Really rattles the chest cavity. HAHA

I find that this music works pretty well, when you want to chill out your audience and build them up for the next ‘climax’
Usually produced at 140’ish bpm, it’d fit nice with alot of songs.
i try to join every dubstep party i can. i love to dance to this music so much, maybe because i can dance in the same way i dance to drum and bass.
the last acti´ve seen was coki from uk. freakin awsome tunes!!!
Your right about it generally being to slow to make a whole night of, but check out Fabric live 42 mixed by Freq Nasty. I could dance to that mix 5 times over.
Also check out High Rankin, he is this totally dope producer from Bristol (I think), his tracks are somewhere in between dubstep and D&B, they have ridiculous amounts of energy.
I love dubstep. I remember when I visited London, Plastician and Skream were playing on a club called FWD, and it was awesome! Really 3d music, I’d say…My favorites right now are Monsta, Skream, Plastician and Kode 9.
chur phat09 is gonna be killa! yall are right when you say a whole night of dubstep is too much. i reckon droppin a couple of track in the middle of a dnb set and a couple at the end is the way to go
i´ve been to a lot parties completely dedicated to dubstep and it was pretty great. where is the problem partying to dubstep a whole night? if it is good step there is no problem to dance to the shit till lunch!
Also Dupstep imo is like anything else if you play too much of it it gets tiresome.
I mean Dubstep isnt quite at the point that say DnB and Electro are where there is a MASSIVE variety in the types of vibes you can mix up (ie dnb: neurofunk, liquid, jump-up, jungle, minimal, techstep etc etc)
Anyway. This track mad me shit myself a little. DnB heads will know the one.
TC - Wheres my Money (Caspa Remix):
Need to get my hands on it! Sadly v limited vinyl release only atm.
Caught School of Thought in the weekend. Fucking awesome! He just dropped Dubsteps every couple of tunes mostly playing booty bass breaks in between. There is def a huge contrast in energy levels of certain dubstep tunes but choose the right tune and the energy explodes even though every body is dancing halftime like zombies on squares
