Launchpad as drumpad?

So…

I have a launchpad and currently only use it while live DJing but I am starting to get into production. My buddy and I want to start making our music and I really want to use my launchpad to record drum loops as I do them live. I Have seen many people doing remixes using stems from here and putting them on Youtube, but i just can not seems to figure out..

Anything would help

If you use Ableton to PLAY drums live, just route the audio from the track that has your drum sounds on to another track in Live, record arm that track, and hit record in a clip slot…

use the “Audio to” or “Audio from” drop down in the session view tracks for your routing.
