Yeah I totally agree. First of all it makes you aware and understand all the possibilities that Traktor gives. I learned so many things and new features in the last week. The point is that DJing is not only more comfortable with a customized mapping, I also feel much more creative than before. And of course with nice combos you can do things that you were not even able to handle before.
Aaaand - it´s fun if you get it running. 
HOLY CRAP I FINALLY UNDERSTAND THIS POST. It only took me 3 days of reading this thread repeatedly to finally understand what you meant by this. Wow, thank you so much. If you’re ever in San Francisco, Saturday night is on me.

I will add that with Launchpad you’ll want to uncheck Blend. Blend is only useful if your controller is able to smoothly transition from one color to the next, which the Launchpad is not.
