Launchpad Use With Traktor
I already have a Kontrol Z1 for Traktor, but I also have a Launchpad. Can I use that with Traktor as well? If so, what could I use it for?
Launchpad is pretty cool controller with a ton of pads… You ca give it a try and map it for deck transport controls plus effects and forget about using your mouse.

There are many mappings already available for free, hopefully you can find something interesting and save yourself from mapping trouble 
I have a launchpad set up for traktor.
It’s an awsome controller, What I use it for are the following;
Gain monitor (flashes red when gain starts to clip)
Cue selector /editor - 8 cues per deck 1/2 and ability to set those cues as hot/load/loop/cue marker at the touch of a button - select cue, press the appropriate coloured button for cue type - done. Also shift+cue for removal of said cues.
Loop on off, and loop length per deck 1/2
Async BPM per deck 1/2
On/off for Quantize/Snap
Load selected track into appropriate deck
Load selected into Preparation list
Button to clear the search box, another one to initiate a search, then that’s the only time you use computer keyboard.
Buttons down side for up/down, page up/down, folder playlist up/down, folder open/close in Tree selector.
Top buttons, quick crossfade, crossfade monitor.
There’s a few buttons unmapped too, can still add more commands if I want.
It’s become indespensible really, I use in in conjunction with Denon 6Kmk2.
The range of colours the LP offers are mappable too depending on the commands sent back from computer,

I’m in the process of making my own mapping for Traktor. While I’m doing that, I’m using this mapping: DJ TechTools - 2 DECK LAUNCHPAD FIGHTER SAMPLES/HOTCUES/LOOPING/FX/LED BY JWILL

I have also used my launchpad to control Traktor at some of my gigs
It works really well and I got the mappings from djtechtools too!
I used to have my launchpad working with both Ableton Live and traktor.
the bottom row was mapped to hot cues in traktor, and the rest functioned as default in ableton, to play my drops/idents (this was in traktor 3 days)
you’ve probably got ableton launchpad edition or some version… use both and be creative.
