Looking for VJ clips

Hey all,
After watching the DJTT tutorial about utilizing video clips to run in sync on MixEmergency I’m just wondering where the best place to find cool loops for free are. A basic google search does help to a degree but I’m just curious to the sites you are using.
I’ve found tons of great videos to use from “Beeple” on Vimeo but am still looking for more videos, please do PM me or reply on this forum,

Most of my videos/loops are from archive.org. There are tons of loops, strange movies and wild clips. And you can use them without thinking about license or copyright! :wink:

you are limited to what you will find for “free”. if you have a bit of spending money you can get lots of amazing high quality clips.

But one of the best sites I’ve ever found for “FREE” content is http://videopong.net . however, there is a catch. For every 1 clip of original content you upload, you can download 3 free clips. Original content can be anything from a simple shape animation made in After Effects, or something recorded from your phone (that actually would be of use, no one cares about your dog).

once again, gonna just say that I would love for a VJTechTools website. It’s a rapidly expanding art form with loads of artists learning & creating content and is very similar to the DJ culture of things

Hey DjOtis, earlier this year I actually started a project called 365 to VJ because I was in a similar position as you. I wanted to have more VJ loops but there seemed to be a pretty big gap in terms of what was available. Resolume packs are great but quite expensive (especially since they’re euro). Beeple is obviously an amazing source of free material too.

I decided to start 365 to VJ as a way to learn how to make my own VJ loops and as part of that I decided to make most of them available to download. You can sign up for a membership and access the loops I’ve uploaded so far http://zerotovj.com/

Are you using Mix Emergency or are you using another VJ program?
