lounge music selection for buddha bar gig

hi
im helping my friend make a demo playlist and we’d like to crowdsource for some exceptional tracks. i don’t usually listen to this type of music either so any suggestions would be appreciated.

and

and maybe even this

https://soundcloud.com/ground-factory-records/sets/disrupted-incl-dj-simi-m-in-patrick-kunkel-death-by-analog-remix-gf004

i dont know, im usually listen to dnb, dubstep, techhouse that kinda thing so out of my league here. but i thought itd be fun to help out. mm maybe throw in a carla bruni track, maybe quel qu’un m’a dit… if only there was a remixed version it would be cool… any ideas?

is this thread displaying super odd to anyone else?, I can’t even see the original post :disappointed:

Some beats?

Some jazzy cool lounge?

Or some altogether more beautiful?

Cool, I know one of the guys from Death By Analogue (met him gear shopping..). He’s a DJTT reader, he’ll be chuffed to find one of his tracks on here.

I’m partial to this:

Phil.

THIS IS THE MOTHERLOAD:

Also lables:
Naked Music
Jazzanova
Tru Thoughs

My favourite labels for that stuff are: Compost Records, Stereo Deluxe, Mole Listening Pearls, G-stone, Schema Records and Infracom, you just can’t fail with those, quality lounge music, it doesn’t get better than this.

madly in love with this piece.

as pepe stated INFRACom! label has some good stuff.

I’m particularly diggin’ Mop Mop - Ash (Diesler remix)

-space

Here’s a few big uns… possibly too big

And I posted that Mudd one in the funk thread before but i just love it

Gotan Project good for lounge stuff

If your desperate - Old’s cool classics.

Huge!

omg guys this is great!! thanks so much and keep em coming. totally forgot about some of them… ulrich schnauss and air <3<3 i also totally dig the funkier and jazzed up ones too, but in either case its not my opinion that counts. thanks for the range of selections though, if you have more definitely welcome your thoughts. ive never heard so much lounge music though, usually i like “choons” that makes me dance and convulse and honestly i’ve always found lounge and chill out to be alittle on the yawn side. thanks to you guys, im discovering how sexy it is… lets get nekkid and roll around in bed! thanks again djtechtools!

lol, but really i love how this is such a great resource pool of people and ideas and findings <3

takes wedding ring off

[/quote]The style had it’s peak in the later 90’s, I was totally hooked at the time spending all my money in CDs that coudn’t even be beatmatched or danced but were so fucking good that I didn’t care, I just laid on bed, sometimes with a spliff and experienced an aural pleasure journey with every new disc.

There’s a record that is the absolutely top of the game and must have for this genre: http://www.discogs.com/Kruder-Dorfmeister-The-KD-Sessions/release/5081 after you’ll listen to it you’ll understand that lounge it’s more than just “sexy”.

+1 for pepehouse
