main gain stopped working?
all of a sudden my gain stopped working on the s4? it still can adjust the volume but does nothing on the GUI traktor software? i can still adjust the gain on the software though manually. does anyone have this problem.
Ive never had this problem. Have you tried recalibrating the knobs?
Software main gain knob and hardware main gain do not work together. The one on the S4 controlls the sound card seperately from the software. So if you computer crashes you can control the gain for your back up source input to Deck C or D. The software knob should be set to the level that is correct for your set up, then left alone.

Exactly right. I had the hardest time trying to explain why this was to a friend.
My explanation of it was ok except I really should say the hardware knob controls the sound card. It is not a midi control. It works the same as if you had an external sound card for your set up.
