One of the biggest mistakes I hear people make is making the drop so loud that when everything slams back in, it has no impact. Especially post mastering. Whole point of a drop is to have that impact when it all kicks off again, so make sure your drop isnt so busy that everything seems boring when it kicks back in,
Limit and compress the hell out of the hook. On my iPad so can only look at the waveform, (guessing it’s dubstep) and if it is, you’ll definitely wanna limit and compress waaaay more than the intro, this should give the hook some impact
