Maschine 1.1 update and Rex support
Hey guys I was in the NI forums and read a post by someone making a big deal about Rex support and how it’ll make chopping samples so easy. My question is what the hell is REX lol? How is it going to make things easier?

REX2 is an audio file format developed by Propellerheads, the same company behind Reason. The difference between REX2 and, say, MP3 or WAV is REX allows you to pre-warp (or beatgrid or whatever) tracks using ReCycle and have that information included in the file. A lot of companies that produce loops for sample packs have their loops available in REX format, so people are happy because it will save them a lot of work.
