on it since the public beta. kudos to NI for releasing this update for free BTW, I wouldn’t have expected it to be honest.
as to the speculations whether this will be able to replace ableton in a live setup… you guys must be joking or not have a grasp of what’s possible in live. sorry to say that, but maschine doesn’t even come close as a standalone application
oh i’m fully aware of the beastliness that is ableton live, as a DAW it is great! But considering NI is intentionally making maschine to integrate traktor, it seems like this is the solution they want to advertise to people that want an ableton and traktor “bridge”.
I had a ton of fun with it today. Made my workflow soooo much better! I was using Kore 2 inside of Maschine, loading up kore with bass/synths/pads, and then recording them directly into Maschine. Played a bit with the finger on top of it all as well for some effect craziness. Was a good day.
Maschine noob question that I can’t find a simple answer to:
Massive can make basslines, right?
so if I route Massive into Maschine, I can assign basslines to pads and the play the bass notes? like if I were to use an MPC to sample the sound coming in from a synth?
Yo. I’ve not actually used Maschine and was wondering if you could clear something up for me.
Anyone seen that NI Maschine video with the dude who sounds like superhans from peep show? He said he could perform an entire underworld gig from the maschine if he had enough time to set it up. Anyone have any idea as to exactly what he is doing with it? It kinda seems he’s launching clips ableton style but I thought the Maschine had a limited number of clips and wasn’t suited for an hour+ long performance.
