So Im building up my studio setup and thinking about picking up the maschine.
My question is, if my main DAW is ableton then do you think maschine is worth the money? I realize that the samples will be useful as well as the control surface and I know it is integrated but how tightly?
Hardware wise I can find something much cheaper to accomplish the same tasks.
Basically, is it worth the money to pick up maschine to accompany ableton or is it so highly priced because they are pushing their own DAW (which I won’t be using)
Also, anyone that is using maschine with ableton please let me know your thoughts.
Yeah, I think it is. I’m starting to program my drums and grooves with Maschine running by it self, then I export all that into Ableton for actually working on the music and editing and arranging.
Obviously I haven’t tried it yet but when you export it how easily can you edit the drums in ableton? Like are all your sounds still adjustable and what not?
Still new to this so if its an obvious answer try not to hate haha
Well, how would you want to adjust them in Ableton is the question. Should have just adjusted them in Maschine firth then.
And that’s part of the beauty of it, because you to an extent you can’t go back and adjust them so you won’t keep tweaking them. Lets you focus and move on.
