Master sync overrides my deck sync

. . this issue came up recently. . . ive restored defaults on on the S4. . . and i have reverted to a backup traktor settings file from a while back that i know definitely was functioning. . . i have also done a fresh install of TP2. . . . i cant seem to get decks to become master automatically. . . with auto button on in the clock panel it still continues to slave to the master sync. . with auto off i am able to manually click on deck master but when track ends, it reverts back to master sync and doesnt toggle master to the next deck . . . any suggestions would be AWESOME. .

ive been using traktor and S4 for a lil over a year, havent had this issue b4. . . i have a ticket in to NI, and waiting for a response from them as well. . . . .

Is the fader on the deck you are trying to set as a master up?

no f’n way. . . . that was it. . . ive been beating my head against the wall. . . dont even remember how i came to the point of the this troubleshoot track or why i couldnt atleast see that it would work sometime and then not. . . .i do a lot of troubleshooting in so many techy areas and gotta say that this makes the top three for simplest solution being the most stealth. . boy do i feel like a dink :open_mouth:. . . anyhow thanks so much. . .:wink:

Caught me off guard the first time too, think it was a part of the 2.0.3 or 2.1.1 update, can’t remember exactly. Glad it’s sorted.

You need to set the Mastertempo to Auto!
