I’ve just ordered a Midi Fighter and I can’t wait to start using it when it arrives. Being in the UK it’s going to take ages for it to get here. So I’ve been messing around and made a similar setup on the iPad.
I’ve been playing around a lot with the Touch OSC / OSCulator setup on the iPad, so setting this up wasn’t that hard.
Here’s a short video of me testing it out.
If anyone would like the Touch & OSCulator files, let me know and I’ll post them up.
Yeah I know. I created a bunch of stuff on the iPad, but there’s nothing like touching real buttons/faders etc. I don’t think I’ll be using it like a midi fighter. But it will be useful for some other controls eg. Browsing, decks c, d and even changing effects on the midi fighter.
Same here I ordered my midi fighter for christmas. Its gonna be epic wait I think. Only had enough to get the cheapest of cheap delivery option.
Did the same when I ordered my vci overlay and it took about 3 weeks to a month to get to the uk.
nah mine only got shipped on the 5th though… just give it 4 weeks to arrive if it comes before then you will be pleasantly surprised in all seriousness if you choose the cheapest postage option like me it will take at max 5 weeks.
The original post date might suggest this is the old MIDI Fighter mapping pre-super combos n’ the such. I may work on a new mapping, think I might be able to pull it off.
Sorry kind of new to it. But is there a starting point where you can point me to. Just got my ipad 2. I dig the MF and want to try it out before i buy an actual one. Thinking of getting one with an S4. So if you could that would be awesome. Unless you have the files already and can briefly walk me through. Appreciate it.
My setup with iPad and Traktor Pro demo. Works with S4 as well. Setting up is easy, get some OSC transmitting SW for iPad and for your computer, map the controls according to Midifighter MIDI specs and there you go.
