Midi fighter Pro Beatmasher Finger Drum Mapping (TRAKTOR Pro 2)

Midi fighter Pro Beatmasher Finger Drum Mapping (TRAKTOR Pro 2)

Hey guys

Im just wondering if their are any good mappings for turning my midi fighter beatmasher into a like a drum pad set up so i can trigger drums, bass, kick etc etc inside traktor pro 2 for Windows.

I wanted a quick option as I haven’t much time to try and map the baby.

Few things I want to know about the idea of a drum mapped midi fighter

  1. Can i use a mapping for finger drumming thats meant to be for a midi fighter classic?
  2. How do you map it to a remix deck on Traktor Pro 2
  3. Anyone have any tips for mapping a midi fighter (Ie, What all the buttons are called etc)

Thanks guys

I love how this has nearly 100 views and no ones replied

Cant anyone tell me where or how i can just map my midi fighter pro to play remix decks?

You can’t map the full remix decks to the MF Pro, but you can map the first four slots. I didn’t see any specific sample deck mappings with a quick Google search so you may have to do your own. Here’s all the MF Pro mappings in the mappings section. Maybe one of them will do what you want or could be easily modified

Thank you for replying

So its totally impossible to map the 16 buttons to 16 remix decks?

How does mad zach do it, with albeton?

Yes, you can do it with the MF Spectra and MF 3D, but those are the only controllers outside of the F1 that can kontrol the remix decks.

https://www.ableton.com/en/articles/getting-started-3-setting-your-midi-controller/

These are commands you’re looking for:

Add In > Remix Deck > Slot Capture/Trigger/Mute
Add In > Remix Deck > Slot Retrigger

As Photojojo said you’ll be able to map out just first sample row in remix deck.

Wow so its true, you cant map the remix decks.

Ive seen a few people talk about being able to do it, check out these links.

opinions??

I forgot about the second one. You can try it and see if it works for you.

I looked it up, It just maps mouse clicks which is just annoying

Ive gave up, i’ve accepted my fate and I think ill just have to try some other way outside of traktor like getting albeton or something.

You could just get an F1. That would cost less than Ableton and you wouldn’t need to make fundamental changes to the way you DJ. Not to mention the time it will take to learn Ableton, which you already said you don’t have enough of.

Can you set all 4 traktor Decks to Remix decks? Then you’d be able to use all 16 buttons on your MF to trigger samples…

Thanks guys, I guess your right! The only way to do this is with an F1 unless someone were to make a program that could trigger audio through midi messages

To patch:Good idea, ill see about trying that.
