Midi Fighter Pro vs M-Audio Trigger Finger

Midi Fighter Pro vs M-Audio Trigger Finger

Hey guys, kinda new here but not really new to DJing/Production and such.

My setup currently consists of 2 technics1200s an S4 macbookpro traktor and ableton.

This is all well and good but when i play out and play parties i dont have anything to control fx and loops and cue points, and i dont wanna take my s4 around as it is fairly big and wont fit in the booth. I do use loops and cue points and fx alot! and my set feels fairly empty without them.

SO my question is what would you rather out of these two controllers and why?

Take into consideration that i will be using one of these with a mixer at parties to save me from lugging around my turntables to house parties.

Thankyou

sorry guys i posted this thinking i was in the general section, please move sorry for the inconvenience

Well, I have a triggerfinger, don’t have a midifighter. But by reputation, the triggerfinger does not have a strong build. This thing will break. Of course it’s so affordable, so it didn’t really matter, just get another one. I say didn’t cos it’s out of production.

But if you’re using ableton, one thing the TF has over the MF is touch-sensitivity and aftertouch. Also has 8 knobs & 3 (cheapo) faders…

The MF looks like it could take more of a bangin’. So it’s really for what yur going to use it. Ableton=tf traktor=mf

okay thanks for your feedback minimal.i want to use it for live djing and production but so that just makes it more difficult to chose lol. when you say the trigger finger is poorly built what do you mean? how long would i expect one to last

The knobs and faders on the TF are crap really, so a good 2-4 months of HEAVY gigging (weekly). . .It’s Made by M-Audio/AVID, so there’s plenty of other uses in a studio (Pro-Tools/Sonar/Reason).
Personally, I’d use the Akai MPD18/26/32 . . .kinda big (26 or 32), but these are mostly studio controllers, but completely acceptable fro DJing. Heck, even the MPK Mini works like a charm! :sunglasses: . . .but for the price, I keep mine in the studio (Got both an MPD and TF), but use the MPD as my primary controller. . .until I learn how to play keys :rage: !)

sorry to rant, karma. .

okay okay well thanks for your help
