Midi-Fighter to be used as drum pads in Logic/Any DAW. Possible?

Hello, This is my first thread and I am a newbie, so go easy on me :open_mouth: . I just got my Midi-Fighter in today and this thing is awesome! I was just wondering if it was possible to use the Midi Fighter’s buttons as drum pads in Logic. I know they aren’t velocity sensitive, but you could change the velocity in Menu Mode.

Thanks for your help

Yup, it sends standard midinotes. Just drop the samples into the right slots and your ready to go. I’ve used mine in Ableton before with little to no effort.

Welcome! We have a pretty great community going here, so everyone should go easy on you. Let me start by saying that any controller that you purchase can essentially be used for almost any function. If you had a VCI and mapped the correct buttons with a program like bomes or midikeys you could use it in any application. The MF works well with any software and for basic functions (like using it as a drum pad) it completes those functions without having to use any extra software. I’m not 100% sure how logic works, but I have used all of my controllers in Ableton Live before, and hope to include my MF (which is less than 100 miles away ATM) into that lineup. Knowing that many of these DAWs overlap, I’d assume that Logic and Ableton will work pretty similarly with these controllers, with lapses here and there. I hope this answered your question.

Yes it’ll work fine. The biggest difference between using an MF in Ableton and a regular drum machine though is that the arcade buttons aren’t velocity sensitive.

Thanks for the help guys. Does anyone know how to map this in Logic? I have not discovered any way to even assign samples to buttons on a drum pad.

hey dude.. i watch ur vids on youtube :stuck_out_tongue: i actually watched the unboxing of it.. btw i was wondering the same too.. how do you map it? is there some kind of mapping thing in the menu like in traktor?
