Midi Fighter Twister Script for Ableton

Hi!

I’m wondering if anyone knows about a guide or manual to write scripts for the Midi Fighter Twister. I have 1 MFTwister and I want to get a second one. The reason is because I use 4 racks that I created on pretty much all my channels and would like to have hands on control for those 4 racks at the same time on whatever channel I have selected in Ableton.

What I’d like to do is create a script that allows the first 8 knobs on the first MFTwister to control Rack 1, second 8 knobs on the first MFTwister to control Rack 2, first 8 knobs on second MFTwister to control rack 3, and second 8 knobs on second MFTwister to control rack 4. I’m not exactly sure if this is even possible because I’ve noticed other controllers only control whatever rack has the hand selector on, so I guess that’s something to consider here.

Does anyone have any info on this?? Greatly appreciated!

I don’t believe that is currently possible. Current device control only allows the 8 macro knobs to be selected on a single device at once per script, so the closest you’ll get is using a copy of the script for the second device, basically getting you halfway to where you want to go.

It might be possible with M4L but i’m not that versed with it to offer guidance.

Thanks! At least that clears it up a bit. I’m going to look into this further and see what I can come up with.
