Midi Fighter Twister sequenzer channel auto-unmute issue

Midi Fighter Twister sequenzer channel auto-unmute issue

Hey DJTechTools-Community!
Since I have my Midi Fighter Twister, I’ve been very happy. It’s such an awesome controller!
But now, about a week ago, I recognized, that my third channel in the step sequenzer (where Ean has usually his Hi-Hats) turns on, whenever I try to mute the channel but have a pattern playing in the background. I hope it’s understandable, so I’ll give an example for that issue:

  1. I turn Hi-Hat pattern on (it doesn’t matter which one I choose)
  2. Hi-Hat plays its pattern
  3. I try to mute the channel
  4. The next step the Hi-Hat is triggered through its pattern, it unmutes itself and plays again with its setted volume…

It makes me sad, when I encounter this issue again and again, because the rest is just working perfectly!

I have already tried to delete the whole twister mapping(s) and reload them again, but there’s no change…
Maybe it is helpful if I notice that I use deck D as my sequenzer-deck.

I remember that I’ve seen a while ago, that there was a video (I think it was outdated and there was a newer version of it) where Ean (or wasn’t it Ean… idk anymore, it’s too long ago) showed loading the twister mapping twice into Traktor(!?). Maybe it is fixable with it but I don’t find the video anymore…

Has someone of you encountered such an issue, too? What can I try for maybe fixing it?

Thank you very much in advance for any help!

Hey Tw1x,
I don’t have any issues on OS X or Windows 7…

What OS do you use?

i have mac os x yosemite and since the day before yesterday i updated to 10.1 (latest version now)

if i should test something under win 7, i could do that… my pc has win 7 pro x64

This issue is most likely addressed to OS X Yosemite with latest Traktor 2.7.0 and 2.7.1. Thanks for reporting!

Please fill ticket to support@djtechtools.com

ok…
my pc is updating my traktor to 2.7.1 right now, so i can test it with windows to ensure that it’s a mac issue.

what do you mean with fill ticket? (is there a post about doing that? or what shall i write?)

another question: when can i post stuff without being checked each time by a moderator? do i need a certain amount of posts?

thanks for all!

under windows 7 pro x64 it just works perfectly…
so it is a mac issue, you’re right

and now, what shall i write? cause you posted the e-mail-address?

Thanks for confirming mate!
You should send a ticket to DJTT Support Team. You basically just describe exactly what you said here and also link this thread.

When you register in the forum you received a newbie title on your profile. You need to have your first 7 posts approved by Moderators because of our anti spam protocol. Then you get a new title and you can post freely

ok, have it just written, so most likely there will be a firmware update for the twister, won’t it?

Hello again Tw1x,

We have found a couse of this bug and a solution. This only happens when ever you have your samples loaded as “Gate” instead of “Latch” …

Ensure to have this button enabled for all sample cells that are used by Sequencer.

oh, you were faster with posting this

yes, that is what Matías sent me through the support mail.

shall i post the new version of Ean’s drum kit for all other people who encounter this problem? (the link Matías sent me)

We’ll update the main download link with the fixed version later today. Did this sort it out for you?

Yes, now it works all perfectly how it should! Thank you very much for your help!

PS: What exactly is the difference between the “Gate” and “Latch” mode?

Latch is normal, gate makes the sound audible only while you hold down a button (using a F1 or similar), it just messes stuff up on Twister.

so, e.g. if i press my mapped button for 0.5 seconds and have a sample which is 1.0 seconds, it’ll only play half? and only if i press my button longer than 1 second, it’ll play through the whole sample?

I was having this issue. Matias has been helping me out as well. Weird how no-one else has reported this issue.
