midifighter custom light show

i have a midi fighter 64 set up to control a drum rack and i want to assign custom light animations to each button. i’ve got a midi channel with my midi clips containing the information for the animations but whenever i map the desired button to the clip, that button will no longer trigger the sound from the drum rack.

is there a way to have a button trigger both?

I believe that Ableton mapping allows for only one midi assignment per a single control. Something like that could be reached ether via Max4Live or Python scripting.

Enable Note+CC mode in the MF Utility and map the CC to trigger the dummy clip instead, this way the Note is still free for Drum Rack use.
