Since NI didn’t allow direct mapping to display corresponding sample cell color in MIDI controllers I’ve mapped each slot column LED output to lite in four colors just like in the image above. Each cell will display slot level meter to indicate the sample is on play.
Use trigger type modifier and any cell to change between Latched and Gated sample type. This commands are assigned by modifier conditions to be connected with active modifier (condition 1) and for specific remix deck page (condition 2). But, since all trigger cells are assigned with specific slot (condition 1) and remix deck page (condition 2) it was not possible to forbid samples to play while using a modifier to change trigger types. Hopefully NI will add another (third) modifier condition when I’ll be updating this mapping for that functionality and slot play mode as well. For now, use this feature to prepare each sample trigger type before playing a set or do it in the mix with your channel fader lowered.
I’ve took this mapping and combined it with original Deck Grat concept so you can control Grat A/B and C/D as a remix decks. If somebody is interested to try it out, the mapping is uploaded under Spectra Deck Grat (Stewe edit).
Stewe i noticed the 2 gaters and the 4 beatmashers were swapped over, not sure if thats what you were wanting. Fixed on mime but you may want to take a look.
Yuuup! It’s a multi device mapping - one way is altering effects for all mappings. But If you import correct effect settings (which comes in a .tsi) you shouldn’t be seeing this loading incorrect effects issue (because effects in my register are arranged differently from your current Traktor settings - the ones which didn’t got overwrite when importing the mapping by using big Import button) < Twice
Cool. I was going to use the effect settings from tekki & my “Jammeister 3K” project with superknobs and a few FX swapped around. Project for next week
