Mixing In Key: Remix Decks/Sample Decks

Hey everyone,

Ive recently started to work with mixing in key and have come across something interesting.

When mixing I like to keep the key lock on and will adjust down or up to match or harmonically mix tracks, up 1% or down 1% to mix according to the Chamelot wheel. However I noticed if the key is adjusted up or down, taking a loop from a track deck and dropping it into a remix deck will not keep this adjusted key notation.

I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m thinking the same might go for the loop recorder?

Has anyone had problems with this? Is there anyway to fix this?

The loop recorder should record your sample as you hear it.
To fix your problem with dropping a loop from a track deck into a remix deck: Are you sure you turned key lock on on your Remix deck for that particular cell/row?

I tried it with the keylock on as well as the keylock off for the remix slot and it still was in the original key of the track, not the adjusted key from deck A/B.
