Mixing like Ean
Ok i’m not trying to copy the same mixing style that ean does. I just love how he puts the rap/top40 acapellas over the techno beats i have tried and tried to make this work and sound good but have had no luck yet. Does anyone know how to match them up in Trackor and how to know what will go well with another track?

Beatgrids are good for that.
Until now, I mixed oldschool without syncing or caring about what Traktor says about BPM, but now that I mix with Ableton and Traktor all has to be synced which makes DJing even more funny.
Tempo-matching is an essential skill for DJs, but it’s one advantage we digital DJs have, which gives us time for other things. So …let’s fucking use it…

Damn strait, take all the good ideas of people and leave the limiting ones behind, steal enough peoples ideas good ideas and eventually you will have made something that is your own - lets face it not much under the sun is new but you can bring together a whole heap of things that are not new and still create something totally original out of it.
Theres nothing wrong about using other peoples good ideas
My setup has a ton of stolen ideas from lots of different sources.
