Mobile phone controller!!!!

Mobile phone controller!!!

WOW.

Today i discovered an app for my android phone called gpad.

with this app i can use my phone to control my computer. i am typing this thread on my computer but using the keyboard on my phone as well as using the screen as a track pad to navigate as i would with my mouse.

the super cool part is that you can create your own control pads with the app and place buttons where ever you like and give them a multitude of functions.

my plan is to create a little traktor trigger pad to use for beatjumps and more in the future. especially cool when the new traktor features are released and i dont have room to map them all on my vci 100.

anyway i thought some gadget geeks might find some interest. more to come after ive played some.

It should work on some of the ipad android 7’ clones too so ?

They are even cheaper than a phone (under $100) and have a half decent size screen

Nothin makes the dancefloor go crazy as when the DJ starts fiddling with a mobile phone! Oh wait a minute…

Track: Communication by Mario Piu

Fiddling with a cell phone during the intro made 'em go wild hahaha

If you think that’s cool check this out:

Yeah! so the gist of it is that SO MUCH COOL stuff is just around the corner. obviously the phone isn’t the most conviently sized object for some of these applications but with new tablets coming around soon I expect to see much more of this type of software being creating for midi control.

i want to remix using the gesture of flashdance!!!

Hey guys!
I was thinking to use gpad for tractor, but it seams I’m just too dumb to set it up.
Fist of all, is it possible to connect android phone to notebook with wi-fi directly, without using router?
Second, what is the difference between payed gpad and free, I have free one downloaded from market, and theres buy option in menu, but it seams that there are no limitations…
Quick guidelines would be nice.

I think the difference between free and paid is you can only use free one for three hours or something. It just turns off after the time limit. And yes. Pretty sure you have to have a router. You can connect through usb I believe instead of wireless. I just played with it for a few days kinda as a novelty more than anything.you set it up have buttons do keystrokes and set up you keyboard settings in Traktor. Mostly what I was doing with it was beat-jumps, but I remapped my vci-100 to give me beatjump function.

Well I wanted to use it to walk into the crowd and trigger some loops or so, but if have to carry a router to gig, it’s kinda useless… :disappointed:

^^Does ur laptop have wi-fi?

no you dont need a router, you’ve just gotta create a new wireless network (on your laptop) and join it on both the laptop and the phone
