My first mixer

Hi guys.

Upgraded my Traktor S2 to a Xone 92 & 2 x1’s but don’t know exactly what cables i need and it would be great to test the beast tonght :slight_smile:

I have a Native komplete audio 6 external soundcard so if im right i can only mix 2 decks/channels?

So i need 2 cables for my speakers to the soundcard, and 2 cables ( balanced 1/4 jack to male xlr ) from my Xone to the soundcard?

If i buy today the Traktor Audio 10 i will need 4 balanced 1/4 cables?

And how do Traktor recognise my Xone? I know how to changes the settings but wonder if i need a cable to for this?

TRS → RCA for all interface outs to mixer ins since the Komplete 6 doesn’t have RCAs (make sure you are using the line level inputs below the top row of phono inputs on the :92).

You can use a pair of XLR cables if your speakers/amp/receiver support them, but you can also use 1/4" TRS from the Mix2 out of the mixer (I use this method), or if you’re desperate, RCA outs from the Record Out of the mixer.

The A10 is really a better choice for the :92 (I have the Audio 8, precursor to the Audio 10, but essentially the same soundcard minus the 5th i/o) 4 RCA pairs wires you up, and then you just run the out of your choice to your speakers or amp.

I have an Xone 62 but it’s nearly the same configuration about cables.
Audio 8 allow you to get 4 indépendant stereo channels means 4 doubles RCA/Rca. Same for audio 10 with the possibility to use on more channel (for anotehr external device, or ableton signal if you plan to use it, or a return FX channel if you want o use Traktor FX in the Send/return settings. Notice that if you use return channel of your xone, you will need TRS(xone92) /RCA (audio10/8) cables.

As you said first, Komplet 6 (I use it for abelton channel) will allow you only 2 channels mixing on your X-one, and some TRS-kpt6) to RCA (xone) cables.
I really invite you to choose audio 8 or 10 as it’s the only way to get 4 channel and take advantage of you xone92 and it’s alsp better designed for Djaying purpose than komplete 6 (more oriented to production or live)

Hi guys, thanks for the reply.

I got the Traktor Audio 10 and installed it to Traktor, but im still thinking about the cables..
I got alot of cables in the box of the Audio10 (not the left one ) and wonder if i can use those cables to connect the mixer

I used TRS cables from my KRK’s to my old soundcard but the new Audio 10 doenst have TRS in/out..

So can i use the left longest RCA (unbalanced) cable to connect the mixer with the KRK’s => Record Out to the KRK?
Or do i need to connect the KRK’s with the soundcard?

And the red/white cable from the main of soundcard to somewhere in the mixer? Mix 2?

booth out to the krk’s, as you use them as monitor or mix or mix 2 those three carry the ful signal of all your chanels

You’re going to want to output the decks of Traktor (Decks A,B,C,D) to which ever input channel you want them to be on (the ones at the top that say 1,2,3,4 and RCA inputs).

Ok that was the stupist question i ever made…

Everything is working fine, what a beast!

Only one issue with the traktor X1 controller,

I love loops but sometimes when i press the loop buttom, the track restarts which is really annoying..
Sometimes it works fine.. I search a lot on internet but cant find anything about this..

Hope someone have a solution for this problem
