My “Hey I’m gonna start DJing again” DJ setup

Back in the early 2000s, I DJed in clubs quite a bit and had a pair of 1200 mk2s along with a Vestax mixer at home. Sadly, I stopped playing, and sold my gear.

Anyway, recently I started getting into it again.. here’s my setup so far.

Traktor 2.6.1
Traktor Kontrol X1
NI Komplete Audio 6
Behringer DJX-750
Sony MDR-V500 phones (leftover from the old days)

I think I’m going to add a second X1 for three deck control, and some decent monitors.. that should do it for a bit though.

Update June 2013

All of the gear listed above is still current, but the rig has gotten a brain transplant in the form of a 15" MacBook Pro. :smiley:

I think a mixer upgrade is next.. not for a bit though. Unless someone’s got a 4 channel Pioneer they just can’t wait to give me. :stuck_out_tongue:

You’ll need a new mixer or sound card if you want that 3rd deck, since the 3rd output of the Komplete 6 is digital SPDIF which your mixer doesn’t accept.

Yeah, I bought a S/PDIF to RCA converter so that I can use the 3rd output on the Komplete.
