My Monkey Business
I’ve been composing EDM since August 2014 and it all seems easy as pie! Most of it is experimental improvisation. The project is inspired and themed after the Ape Escape video games for anyone who is familiar with them. The Artwork is by Samuel Farrand by permission until I finally receive permission from Sony Computer Entertainment International to be able to use screenshots from the Ape Escape video games for my cover art. I have tried so many ways to contact them and have had no luck. I have a ridiculous amount of tracks so far about 485! I am in the process of working on a 110 track project called “The Mutant Invasion” themed after a scene from Ape Escape Million Monkeys. I think I may be getting Mixtrack Edge for Christmas which I feel is a perfect controller for me to begin with though others don’t think so. I want to make sure DJing is for me and also I have transport issues and it would fit right in my laptop bag. Anyway, here’s links to all my stuff. Tell me what you think. Does it suck? Of course it’s not for older people. This is very fun for me, but I must confess I do not have professional knowledge of music theory, only elementary and I do not know mastering very well so I try to compose tracks to not need it. I’ve only had to use it twice. I’m beginning to feel like this is too predictable. I am inspired by Soichi Terada, Astral Projection, Infected Mushroom, Asia 2001, and indie artist CrystalFisure.
