Trust me I know exactly how you feel, which is honestly why I felt like giving it a listen and some feedback. I’ve been dealing with the exact same thing lately where it’s been seemingly difficult to get any sort of feedback no matter where I post a mix. Posted three threads thus far here with my new mixes which I thought might get some responses as it’s the “Mixes” section, but haven’t heard a peep from anyone yet despite quite a few views.
Gave it a relisten though, this time much more critique oriented, and your transitions seemed spot on and seemless. Song selection was also great as well. With a lot of mixes posted here, there just isn’t quality or direction. Just trainwreck after trainwreck of bangers. Yours is not among those.
The mix sounded good. A couple of points I found though.
@ approx 10:30 the mix just sounded off, I’m not sure if it was key clash or what. Listening back you may have gone from Minor to Major. Maybe someone else can give this a listen and chime in on that mix.
The Techno @14:00 really threw me off. In my opinion the song didn’t fit in the mix and could have been left out.
Last but not least your gains where off at the end =P.
The beatmatching was spot on though and I enjoyed the mix.

Listened to this part a few times now, not really hearing a key clash. May be the vocals that are throwing it off, but it didn’t sound too dissonant to me.
Vocals sounded fine to me as well. I guess I simply didn’t like that mix then. I can’t say what exactly I didn’t like about it though.

about the comments: i struggle with gain - i find the adjustments during a live mix to be very jumpy? any tips?
and i did to-and-fro about the techno track too, i ended up taking a risk

In regards to the gain, what are you mixing with? I just use the autogain feature for the most part in Traktor, but constantly pay attention to my levels visually, and with listening to the headphone mix as well.
I actually liked the middle of the mix toss up to techno, but that’s just me.
I’m starting a new weekly mix that I’m trying to release every Sunday/Monday, this way I have something to constantly work on and improve. Two most recent episodes are below, 001 on soundcloud, and 002 on mixcloud(since soundcloud took it down.) Let me know what you think, I’d love some feedback myself

@Stevohill: I’ve never been a Techno fan, that played a big part in my opinion of that song. Then again its all about opinion.
@boy:I still struggle with gain on and off. I used to use Traktor, I’m without software (CDJ’s & mixer) now so I don’t use any auto gain. It was great when I had it though. Most of your levels were great, the only problem I had was with that last song. My tip is to simply use your ears and be patient, good mixing skill aren’t made overnight. Also I just posted a new mix in the forums Through The Years - 08' (Prog/Trance).

@boywithlamp - you got some nice tracks in there, think i’ll pinch a couple. I think around 10.30 its quite a quick cut and it sounds like you have two quite synth(y) basses playing at the same time briefly (plus mids and highs)? could maybe be a bit more subtle - then again thats from someone who likes pretty long mixes - 23-25mins is nicer on the EQ’ing, although i’d maybe have left some highs in a bit longer. nice tracks though man and overall really cool, liked it
on another note - i uploaded a couple of mixes on soundcloud (i am using mixcloud right now) and they were taken down straight away without an email notification or anything - did you get around this by removing the download option?

@Johnv: thanks for the advice re. gain, practice practice practice i took a listen to your mix - to be honest i struggle to enjoy trance, so i couldnt make it through to the end… but i followed the link to your deep house mix (SoundCloud - Hear the world’s sounds) - now that was totally up my street. i adored the first track, i found it very inviting and was intrigued to find out where it was going to take me. i loved the tempo change at 7:50 and then back into the swing of things at 8:30. my next fave bit was at 19:00 - it just had a great vibe to it. to be honest i found your mixes are without fault (to my ears anyway), would love to see a playlist.
