N.I. Is Trying To Make A Happy Customer Have A Sad

Not trying to hijack but i got TSP2 with an Audio 10

If I buy a pioneer DJM900 (scratch certified) i can just use it right? What is all this hardware tied to the software business?

Yes

Thanks for the suggestions. I was kinda leaning towards unregistering the F1 and giving him the copy of Traktor it comes with but I always try and go the legit route to avoid any future headaches. I can’t see any downside to this other than he’ll have to keep an eye out for the latest drivers etc… since the S4 won’t be in his service center. This is the second strike against N.I. in my book, 3 strikes and I’m jumping ship.

Ableton has been much easier to deal with as far as licenses go. I bought an APC20 that came with Live 8 APC Edition that I upgraded to the full version. I asked them what would happen if I sold the APC20 and the person wanted the Live 8 APC Edition that it comes with? They sent me a new license # and I wasn’t really even asking for it. I guess I was expecting similar treatment from N.I.

It looks like I’m following in your hardware footsteps. So what’s in my future? What did you replace the 1600 with?

This is what I would do. I might even tell NI I’m doing this and rub it in a bit. Honestly, if you’re not getting the response you want, ask to talk to their superior…enough complaining to the right person and it’s pretty easy to get what you want.

That’s where I left off with them in the 10 emails that have gone back and forth. I politely asked for a number to call to speak to their superior to see if something can be worked out and I got no response.

Yeah Germany’s a socialist country so everyone’s equal, there are no superiors.

Haha.

I’d save all the emails, just in case you do get the chance…the guy you’ve been dealing with might get in a little trouble.
