Need help from you guys.

Need help from you guys.

I took my vci 100 out of my DJ bag the other day and noticed a piece of small plastic drop to the ground. I inspected the problem and noticed my USB connector on my VCI looked funny. The small black plastic piece in it has cracked somehow. I attached a picture to show you guys what im talking about.

As I was DJing at a gig last night I kept getting random midi cut outs and im guessing its probably because my USB is loose fitted without the small plastic piece inside the connector. What should I do??
Anyone have any solutions??

This is what i need right? I don’t know much about the internals of the VCI. So if someone that knows stuff about this could help me out it would be great. Would any one of these connectors work fine or would I have to buy it as a spear part from the VCI 100.

If you still have the little plastic piece you could simply glue it as it only keeps the plug firm, it doesn’t transmit any data.

Use special plastic glue that won’t “eat” it.

It should work…

A more complicated way is to open the vci and change the usb port… but I’m pretty sure that would require extra fine soldering. Maybe some electronic freak can do it for you, it shouldn’t be too difficult for experienced folks.

Good luck

Hmmm I’ve been checking the usb plug b type here

It all depends on how it was broken… maybe you were lucky and you just can glue it carefully…

Yeah those are standard usb type b female connectors… I don’t think they used a different connector.

The plug seems somewhat loose tho, And im not sure if glueing it back in would actually fix the looseness of it when its plugged in. Might need to buy one and find someone who knows what there doing haha
