Need Info About A Native Instruments Set-up.
I am about to add a new controller or two to my set up. I currently have a MK2 S2 and would like to add a X1 and F1. The question is, will i need a Z1 to controller the mixer section for decks C and D?

Only if you want the dedicated mixer controls but you can map anything to that really, you can even remap the knobs on the X1 if you won’t be using the extra FX units.
if i were you, i’ll probably sold the s2 and i’ll take an S4, and a X1 and/or F1… instead of adding X1, F1,Z1…
Thanks for the info, I’ll be going with the X1 and F1. I’d rather have dedicated controls than having less with the S4 by itself.
Go got the X1 + F1, and get a soundcard (A6 will do you 3 channels), then when you play out you can use the house mixer, or remap things on the S2 for home use
