I am selling my silver Vci-100 and the guy wants only firmware 1.2..Can I re-install just 1.2 and where could I get this? He does not want to have to hold down loop buttons on boot, to get 1.2, everytime. Any ideas?
This raises a good question for me actually. What difference would it make if you wanted to just run the standard TSI/TKS file for the standard VCI features but with firmware 1.3 loaded? Does it make it considerably harder to program? Do you lose any features of 1.2?
Not too bothered myself, more curiosity than anything else.
Problem is not every person is going to be using the VCI-100 for Traktor. So say someone is using Mixvibes ,etc..and wants to use a special file that was designed on 1.2, 1.3 would throw it off and not match.
ah, if this is true, this is great news, but I think the mappings are a little different, but maybe not?? I think if it was just the “endings”, then it should not interfere with 1.2 settings for other controllers.
the v1.3 send different midi notes, claudek restart the vci-100 in v1.2 and use your current .tks or .tsi and see what it does. In regards to the buyer not wanting to hold a button whenever he starts the vci is just nonsense! Im sure you can find another buyer that would appreciate the vci w/v1.3
1.2 mappings don’t present any problem in 1.3 firmware, aside from a few notes that need to be changed. (4th fx button, filter knobs, sync button depending on mapping). Doesn’t take too much time to re-map. The rest of the added functionality is there whenever you feel like using it, or never, as the case may be.
