new controller, I made it

new controller, I made it

Whuuu,

I just tested my new controller and its working. It is a controller that is a secondary device to add on to a setup. I designed it mix with my brother and my friend, they both have vci-100’s.

Based on u-hid http://www.u-hid.com/

8 analog pots
8 arcade buttons
8 mini buttons

with ultimarc ultrastik 360 joystick

usb x/y joystick (not 4 or 8 way but full 128 steps on each axis)

This device is HID. They joystick part is its own device so it uses a separate usb cord. It shows up in windows as 2 joystick/gamepads (1 for just the stick). It will also show buttions a keyboard if I want it to. I am still testing out mappings and what program I will use to make the analogs midi but I know its working. I do not have a clue how I am going to map it lots of ideas to try out. It has a shift button so I am going to try and have a fx mode and a cue/loop mode.

Will have some better pic’s soon … sry I only have my phone camera at the moment

I think I like building things as much as I like to mix.

Amen to that. I’m still half way through building my own. Seeing yours finished makes me want to grab the soldering iron and get going even though its 10pm and I’m really tired.

Well done on finishing and I hope you have a lot of fun with it.

Looks great! What circuit board / chip have you based this on?

.

updated 1st post. I was going to update and get more pic’s but I had a few to many. Also I will defiantly be making more devices.

Thanks for the info.

How come you had to use two connections? Is that due to a limitation of the U-HID chip?

Updated 1st post again, the joystick is kinda its own device
