New Native Instruments controller.

New Native Instruments controller.

I bet this is all over the NI website, but when are they going to make something like the X1, but newer and different? Like am I the only one who thinks that both their software and hardware is amazing, and that it would only get them more acclaim if they developed a new controller (not like the S4).

if you were looking for a new NI controller, what would you want in it?

Not this year i guess. think they announced all their new stuff already (soundcards, t2, maschine 1.6). I think it will be quite a busy year for them.
There is already a thread here suggesting companions rather than replacments for the X1 (think of faderfox gear)

The only thing that comes into my mind know is a version with endless encoders with led feedback (not clicky like the browse and loop ones).

that would be cool! i was thinking maybe like a CDJ almost except just a usb media controller, but with the same build quality and affordability as all NI products.

like the dn sc2000

I think they just need to put faders on the x1

I could do without most of the hotcue section if they could squeeze a wheel in there somewhere.

Jester, check the Reloop Contour. It’s more amazing than you’d think from the start.

made me think of this. saw it a few days ago.

man that denon controller looks great (as does the reloop contour) does anybody have any reviews on either??

Expensive but cool. Alot of work to be done to get it going with dj software i would imagine…

There is a review of the Reloop on the main site, I think the Denon got reviewed a while back as well.

Yeah that monome arc looks amazing. I don’t know how the 4-knob version will be laid out but if it is in a straight line (rather than a square) it would be the perfect effects box for Traktor – the knobs double as push buttons so there you go. But damn that would be an expensive box of knobs…

fixed :stuck_out_tongue:

Right…or the reloop mentioned above…but preferably one that didn’t look and feel like a toy.

haha well since djtt reviewed the reloop contour people are gonna go crazy buying it…but im not gonna lie, it looks pretty legit. Haha the arcs would be amazing as hell

I love me my DN-SC2000’s

and which mixer do you use?

Any available…

My own (DDM4000) if I’m supplying the equipment.

…Traktors internal if I’m playing a super minimal setup at an after party, or small house party.

mmm that mixer is sexy. yeah i kind of meant like what is your ideal setup with those denons. but yeah usually the club mixer does the job.

Yeah, I usually use whats already set up, and just grab two line inputs on the mixer for my two traktor decks.

I do have a nifty little mixer mapping for my X1 that I use sometimes with the denons on either side of the X1… Like a controllerists 2 channel battle setup.

I run TSP so I can run time-code as well… I like having options.
