Well. question to you. Can you have both quality and quantity? today people are generating more content just because they need to, with touring and producing occurring simultaneously
The curse with today’s technology is that it’s very, very and very easy to make a song a day and release it. For example, get a bunch of loop kits from FutureLoops et rest, re-arrange them inside Ableton Live, cut/copy and shuffle around, job done.
To make a unique track that either has a strong melody or otherwise pushes a genre to another direction, or a production or composition style that is unique where few if any sound similar, that’s something rare and will be rewarded.
Yes you can. I’m not saying your idea is a bad one. Just as said before, make sure you are releasing quality tracks and if you have to sacrifice one or the other sacrifice quantity. Releasing quality tracks will for sure allow to gain a following. Trying to release a billion tracks back to back, if your quality is even mediocre I think people will find it more spammy/see it as over saturation of content thus giving your tunes less appeal.
I’m very excited and looking forward to your releases. Good luck!
thank you,
its for people like yourself this is worth it. people who just enjoy music for what it is
diggin the first track man
Week 3
My week 3 song:
Bromance (ZHU REMIX) - Am i keeping up with pace? idk =)
https://soundcloud.com/stevenzhumusic/week-3-bromance-zhu-extended
Sounds like what I was expecting, for better or worse
seems like a full time 24/7 job … I dont like the idea that much..because its pretty much impossible to do 52 quality tracks in such a short time… we’ll see
i think he can release a lot of quality tracks if it full time ,im not saying every one is going to be good but look at laidback Luke he produces tracks in 4 hours !
And there’s a reason they all sound the same! He has, more or less, a formula he follows. He’s not doing anything groundbreaking or innovative at all. And fair play to him, as long as people are silly enough to keep buying his tracks there’s no reason for him to stop doing it.
BUT, from an artistic and creative point of view he is doing anything but be creative or artistic.
awesome idea
i went through that phase
a while ago, forced myself to create a song good or bad each week
great practice
