How’s the sound from the MC-1000?
I like the idea of covering up all the cables instead of them hanging on the side but I don’t love the idea of the Zomo being up top. Seems kind of far away for controlling.
Sound is pretty good - I need to tweak my recording settings, it sounds a little muffled on the high end but I don’t think that has anything to do with the Zomo. I plan to have my first podcast mix with the new setup on my SoundCloud:

I thought that originally, but I found that I’d rather be reaching over the mixer to get to the controller, than over the controller to get to the mixer, since I spend more time on the mixer than the controller… And as a scratcher - I just can’t have anything anywhere near my x-fader!!!
Get some of these:
and any adjustable legs from Ikea, then cut a table top to suit and attach it to the Kallax. It’ll be nice and sturdy, and you’ll still have access to the Kallax for storage…
