Newbie Dj question

Hey I want to get into djing and I have an imaginary set-up that I cold use some help making concrete. I was thinking of using a deck and an mpc1000 plugged into a 2-channel mixer. Is that all there is to it? Or would the mpc have to go through an audio interface? I’m looking for an all analogue sound.

From what I know of the MPC it might work, although why wouldn’t you simply go with two decks and a 2-channel mixer? For one it would be a hell of a lot cheaper, and the MPC is generally used as a production tool.
