Novation Launch Control and Traktor (Trigger cells in remix decks, C&D)

Hi guys & galls,

As there have been numerous talks about remix decks of late, I thought it would be cool to mention a mapping I’ve made to trigger the first four cells, in each of the four slots; of decks C & D. You also have control of filter & volume in each slot.

Hi there,

I’ve just done an update to this mapping & thought I’d share it with you good people. It took me the better part of a day to get this to work but what a day that was. Below is a list of the updates:

  • New design to improve workflow & maximise controller
  • Added Capture From Deck
  • Added Unload Slot
  • Added EQ & Gain control for decks C & D
  • Added Slot FX ON/ OFF
  • Added Slot FX Amount

Update 4.5.4

Hi there DJTechToolers,

I’ve just done an update for my mapping & just thought I’d mention it here. I’ve improved on the actual mapping now & I believe it’s 100% working as it should. Below is a list of new features:

  1. Added a mode to control play, quantize, deck flavour selector & FX unit on for all 4 FX sends.
  2. LED’s now show if the slots are playing, loaded, empty or waiting.

I’ve just uploaded a new version of the mapping which includes the ability to trigger all of the 16 slots in each of the cells. There’s also a page selector and modifier buttons to control capturing and loading of cells. It can be quite confusing at first but once you get used to it, I think you’ll find it a lot of fun. I dare anyone to get two Launch Controls on the go with this, which is what I’m probably going to do.

I’ve just uploaded an update to this mapping and fixed some of the issues that had arisen in the last update.

I’ve uploaded a quick fix, I apologise for uploading dodgy mappings. I think this is the one though.

UPDATE: Version 6.

Hi there, I have updated the mapping to include new features. These are:

FX MODE: Take full control of fx, with mode to select fx unit group/single and fx selector.
LOAD DECK: This will load remix sets into remix decks and will also load a track into a track deck. As of the 2.8.0 Traktor Pro update, this will change the flavour of the deck, depending on whether you’re loading a remix set or a track.
SYNC ON/OFF: Does what it says, turns sync on/off for the decks.
TEMPO BEND: Now you can alter the phase of the decks, just in case you didn’t quite catch it on the one.
