I’ve been working on this 4 Deck, 4 FX Units, plus [Shift] layer map for a few days now and I do believe it is finally finished and working great. I posted it over at TraktorFreaks in the controller mappings section.
I need to learn to make my own maps. I want a map to control decks A+B with the mixtrack, and C+D with the pro and still have my hot cues and control of my loops. I also like the FX setup on my single deck map i have.
Shouldn’t be too difficult to set up one map for controlling C & D. I think you can change all the deck assignment parameters without having to build a map from scratch for decks C & D. Not in front of my Traktor rig at the moment so I’ll get back to you on that.
I am not able to choose between the effects using the keylock funcionality! It is not clear to me how tou use effects in chained mode.could you help me?
The keylock button is setup for selecting which FX Unit you are going to assign to a Deck. For example, on the left side of the controller, with the keylock button in its default state, LED OFF, the loop buttons have been programed to assign FX Unit 1 to Deck A, B, C, or D.(Just A & B in the 2 Deck map) With the button pressed and the LED on, the loops buttons are used to assign FX Unit 3 to Deck A, B, C or D. The same goes for the keylock on the right side of the controller, except you are assigning FX Unit 2 or 4 depending on the status of the keylock button.
If you want to cycle through the effects possible for FX Unit 1 & 2, the encoder with detents labeled “Select” will allow you to scroll through the list of available effects.
In chained mode, the 3 available slots for effects are setup in a serial fashion. Effect slot 1 feeds into slot 2 which in turn feeds slot 3. The effect you put in any given slot just depends on what effects you like to play with. Experimentation is the key.
To be honest, I didn’t setup the mapping to fully take advantage of the FX Units in chained mode. Need more knobs for that. The reason I went with chained mode is it was simpler to get the Filter:92 to do what I wanted in chained mode with the unused pitch faders.
Hope some of this helps, if not hit me up, glad to help.
devil_07 you my friend are a ledgend. I tried ur file yesterday and i had a few hick ups but got it working perfect now. all i can say is thanks ever so much u have made me one happy dude.. thanks again..
do you know how to slow down the jog wheel when u release the tune for a mix with scratch on . hope u know what i mean. its just that its very sensitive.. thanks
Are you talking about the jogwheel itself, or adjusting the sesitivity in the program? You can adjust the encoder sesitivity in the Controller Manager, but the jogwheel itself is “as-is”.
I’ve just finished up a massive overhaul on the 2 Deck map. As soon as I finish playing and testing, and get the documentation all put together, I’ll post that one up in place of the old 2 Deck map on TraktorFreaks.
Here’s a short list of what I’ve updated.
3 pages of control per deck. FX, Loop and Hotcue plus [Shift] layer per page.
FX Page
1 Adv FX Unit + 1 Filter per side
FX Unit parameter adjustments
Deck assignments
Loop Page
Beatjump , Mode & Size
Loop Manual/Auto, Size
Beatgrid adjustments [Shift] layer
Hotcue Page
All 8 Hotcues
Cue Type, Delete
Beatgrid adjustments [Shift] layer
There is still one Modifier left for a Global shift layer, or to enable the scratch function. More on that later though, it’s playtime.
