O/T Snowboarding - Skiing season.
Anyone planning on getting away this year for some decent snow? I seen a few posts from guys last season and was curious how many people on here can’t get enough of the white stuff (innuendo intended).
Sorry if your in the southern hemisphere or in the tropics, but I’m excited about the upcoming season. The forecast for some real snow is in the next few days for the North of Scotland.
I’m definitely an avid skiier/snowboarder, but I don’t have to get away to get the decent snow!
I’m a web developer for Mammoth Mountain Ski Area(http://www.mammothmountain.com)… so some of the best ‘white stuff’ in the US is right out my backdoor! Hell… we’ve been getting hammered (4-6 feet of fresh this weekend with more on the way) all weekend!

I live in the very south of Norway, our first snowdrop was October 21st… I’m pretty sick of the snow now, sadly
I can’t wait to break out my Volkl’s and fly down a mountain.
I really want to find somewhere that will let me try this…

I can’t wait to go to Jackson. Only going for 3 days this year, since i haven’t build up any vacation time at the new job.
I live in Montreal so i’m lucky to have many of north america’s best mountains close to me. I’ve done Tremblant, Bromont, St-Sauveur, Orford and i try to go at least once a year to Jay Peak in Vermont (2:30 hour drive from my house, one of my fav. mountains)
I’m in Northern California, about 3 hours from Lake Tahoe. The mountains up there are filling with snow as we speak.
Used to snowboard 2-3 days a week, but I haven’t gotten to ride for the past several years since my daughter was born. I’m looking forward to teaching her this season.
Done a season in Banff last winter learning how to become a snowboard instructor and had a job line up for this season. Sadly, life got in the way and that’s been postponed for at least another season.
Was looking at hitting whistler for 3 weeks or somewhere like austria but the amount of money a “short” trip costs really bites when you know how little you can survive on when your a seasonaire

snow reported in for this week here in southern germany. i might go and get my old board out of the basement to go ride our skatepark :3 but i wont be able to get into ‘decent snow’ until new year
I’m in B.C. and will be hitting up Whistler/Blackcomb, Revelstoke, Kicking Horse, Fernie, Whitewater, Mt. Washington and a few more this winter.
B.C. ftw! I’m going to be bold and suggest that we have the best skiing/boarding in North America.
+1 on that, i ride/live on mt. washington on vancouver island. i get most of my gigs up here too
I will agree that we do have the best terrain in the world.

Snowing outside as I type this. It’s around -10°C , about 15°F??
I just bought a new pair of saloman skis last year, have yet to have a good go on them. Also own a snowmobile, those things are a blast if you ever have a chance to ride one!

and ya… I’m year round. The summer is just as sick (if not sicker than) as the winter too.
