Official Traktor Kontrol D2 Discussion

Official Traktor Kontrol D2 Discussion

looks like they chopped the mixer section off the s8, and give you 2 x1/f1 type controls + screens to use with a real mixer.

wonder what else they have to show?

Yeah, looks pretty interesting. I definitely want more details.

I want pricing if its over $400 no thanks

link please.

well i just bought an S8 today so…

pic here

No tempo fader, and don’t give me that “use this knob” bull :stuck_out_tongue:

€300 or bust

I have really gotten used to using the knobs with the X1, i like it

031999 pls…

lol wut son…

Looks like 4 buttons next to the fx possibly for controlling all 4 engines
RCA makes zero sense considering it probably controls more than one deck.
Low end would sound around $299 because that would make the mixer section worth around $500-600…a slight discount to buying the sum of the parts in the S8.
I think people may be surprised. Remember this is just a derivative of two prior products (Maschine Studio and the S8), so price could be cheaper than one thinks.

  • audio interface
  • USB HUB form Z2

Credit goes to DJWORX for the image!

Good shot. Thanks.
But that doesn’t look like an audio interface.
Usb to computer + hub + power cable.

I think they are on to something

I’ll revise my guess to $299-399 and $349 being the probable (which I’d consider fair)

Yep, looks like a power cable rather than RCA’s to me. Unless it’s a 1/8" jack (Highly unlikely).

Correct. You need additional power supply to support screen - same is with control S8.

Damn, was hoping for a RCA stereo output at the back. No matter, the extra USB hubs will make things a bit easier to manage, at least.

Is that a physical power switch on the back as well?? Unusual for a controller, especially one without a soundcard…

Not sure how well those legs are gonna hold up either… they don’t look very thick.

They look similar to the legs on the Maschine Studio… So would be curious to hear experiences from those users.
I personally love the cases for my X1 and F1

So they do. I can imagine if they stand up to being finger drummed on on the studio then they should be fine for this.
