I am so on this right now!!

EDIT: halfway through and I can already say I fully endorse this mix. Good stuff man!!

Haha, awesome cover pic. Will check it out for that alone :sunglasses:

Its about time we see other genre’s posted on here. Impressed with all the different transitions used on the mixes. Hip hop and RnB is probably the hardest genre to mix because of really really short intros and outros.
Anytime I can hear Stetsasonic, its been a good day! Thumbs up!

1.) Regulators - Nate Dawg and Warren G
2.) Pain in Full - Eric B and Rakim

“Not trying to Hijack”

Really?

LOL…just a fellow old school school hip hop head trying to spread the good word.

Nice one! After reliving my youth the other day by listening to the ice-t and bodycount album, this is right up my alley mate. cheers

Great track selection! Liked the little bit of cuepoint juggling/stuttering on It’s Tricky. Could do with some more parts like that through the mix to keep the energy level up…

Any scratching???

Wow Barney, this tracklisting is really representing the tracks I used to listen to when I was a youngster! Thanks!

*Pops in the Special Ed cd and starts listening to ‘The Mission’

really can’t scratch on a VCI-100, I know some people can, they are godlike  looking at investing on some turntables in the near future when funds allow.

Check out this video from DJ Decks:

He’s done a mod on the VCI, where he’s put some of the SOFT side of some velcro under the jog wheel. This adds a nice bit of resistance to the jog wheel, making it feel more like a record on a slip mat.

But hey -if you’re getting Turntables that’s even better!
