That’s just mean!
I’ve got to cling on to something.
Jeez.
We didn’t even qualify.
Again.

I saw this other bit the other day…
Also, did anyone notice Ronaldinho in the advert?!?! Dude didn’t even get into the Brazil squad!
Re Archies Post: Steve Archibald - Wikipedia
@ Archie, who you supporting during the world cup. Like, teams that are in it !!!??? Cameroon ? Ivory Coast hehehe
Karlos, I’m a huge Tottenham fan so the name was was chosen with Steve Archibald in mind. I’m a moderator on a Spurs forum who have a tight knit group of posters. Here’s my sig from there…
My local club is East Stirlingshire, who actually play in Falkirk and not Stirling and I’m a season ticket holder there. As for the World Cup I’m hoping Italy win it, 'cos I’ve got them in the sweep. ![]()
I had a mate from Austria whom I went to college with who was all about “Football/Soccer” and talked about it a lot.
I really can’t think of a sport that I’m interested in less though to be honest with you. I’ve even gone to a “professional” American soccer game (the New England Revolution).
I know people go nutty for it but quite literally I don’t know a single person who is really into it from the USA. My cousin-in-law is engaged to a fellow from South Africa, and I guess he’s absolutely nutty for it as well.
I don’t get it really. I played soccer as a kid, and did lacrosse in high school. But it’s a sport I enjoy playing and not watching.
Not knocking it, but I just don’t get the world-wide hype.
Whats even more a disgrace than that is the fat useless idiot that is Maradona is not taking Cambiasso and Zanetti, who made him manager!?? ![]()
Some people might say that it’s like so many other things that the Americans think they are correct about, but are often wide of the mark of. Not me though, I’m far too nice a person to start spreading that kind of talk on the interweb.
USA. USA. USA. ![]()
@ Josh, that was one of the greatest moments of my entire life. I can watch it over and over. Thanks for posting.
@ BigC, we prefer the name Football dude. Soccer is a substitute name for “Association Football” and what American people say (no offence guys but you do) and you will never hear a British or probably European person say soccer… Its FOOTBALL..
Bit like us calling Baseball Rounders.
As for Footballs place in the world of sport. Its a fact that it is the most watched sport in the world. Period.
There is also the unpredictability that goes with football. Sorry OhmyJosh.
The reason American’s don’t call it “Football” is because we have a completely different sport we call “Football.”
How that worked out, I don’t know. But in America, it’s Soccer and it’s habit to call it that because there is something completely different called Football. Which is an amazing sport btw, but I don’t understand why they had to name them the same. I blame America for this one.
LOL yeah i forgot you guys have your own football.
But then again you dont play it with your feet (apart from that chap that oofs the ball up the pitch now and again).
Ill tell you one sport i just dont get. This will probably annoy the whole population of the South of America. NASCAR.
I mean i like Formula One but Nascar is literally just going round in circles. With the exception of a handful of tracks they are just ovals and people are just waiting for drivers to get bumped off. At least with formula one theres driver skill involved with the courses being difficult to get round in one piece.
Plus its as corrupt as fuck and ruled by one family.
I guess its just a nice day out for the family.
plus those cars are heavy, have no brakes or traction, and take 5 minutes to get up to speed. hillbillies seem to like it tho.
I agree that it is hard to “get”. But lets not knock the drivers, there is a formula 1 race winner that has been at it for a couple of years and he struggles (he also dominated in indy cars).
As for sports I don’t get, its baseball. Fun as hell to play, but watching is is like watching paint dry. Cricket is not the same, when I was in England i “got” it and thoroughly enjoyed it.
And as for Jester’s comment back about the world championships of ice hockey, it was the olympics this year, and it was epic! Also the playoffs are on right now and they are pretty intense this year.
Phil.
Anyway, our boys are playing aussie in a few days as a warm up match, as long as we don’t lose 5-0 should be a good game ![]()
And he’s usually a soccer player.
Ahhh thats what i never understood properly before … turn left, turn left, slam into wall at 100mph. gotcha.
Phil im glad you like Cricket man.
Cricket was the only sport i played at a decent level. I hated playing football at school cus most kids who are really into football at school are tossers.
I suppose you might call them “jocks”? Proper dimwitted numbnuts. I mean i can play pretty well, but i just hate the turds on the team.
Footballers are bad sportsmen, bad losers and mummys boy who cry a lot (hah sweeping statement.
It takes a lot of balls (no pun intended) to stand in front of a guy who is going to hurl a rock hard cricket ball at your face at 80mph ..! Cricket is played by men!!! hahaha
i dont understand Baseball , to tactical and they just fanny about a lot.
Basketball , now that is a great sport. I like watching Basketball. Its ultra skilful.
Turn Left Turn Left Turn Left.
That hilarious man… Easiest sport rules ever.
I read that they tried to introduce new safety measures like more flags and speed cars but it was all an attempt to make the races seem closer but were actually fixing the races.
