People with muliptle computers using same Traktor settings…Please Advise

Hey Guys…Here is my issue and I am hoping someone can help.

I have a macbook and I have a windows 7 desktop.

I want the traktor folders (grids & settings) to carry over to each other.

What I have tried so far:

I linked both folders using dropbox and also attempted with live mesh. Dropbox got the quickest results

My Outcome:

I successfully opened traktor on both machines and it found my settings but the grids did not carry over. Also my track collection (Itunes) was screwed up due to the different directory naming conventions on each machine.

Does anyone know a solution…I was contemplating installing Windows & on my macbook to get this to work but I would prefer to leave my Mac as is.

Win 7 is great BTW…this is coming from a Mac lover.

there is software that will do this, i will try to find the name of it when i get home

Are you talking about sync toy? I’d like something automatic…My big issue is my audio libraries are out of whack and of course my grids.

Thanks for the help!

OK i stand corrected its a web service, called sugar sync. have not used it so im not sure if it has an automatic sync function. Im also not sure as to whether or not you will have any issues with the different platforms (going from osx to windows7 and vice versa)

I actually tried that but instead of sugar sync I used dropbox and also tried live mesh.

The issue is that the audio folders don’t map the same…for example

Mac: Mactintosh HD\User\Documents\Traktor
Win: C:\Users\User\Documents\Native Instruments\Traktor

I need some clever ways of working this…I tried some pretty advanced stuff.

sm00sh: Thanks for the help.

You should be able to carry over the tags and everything from Traktor to Traktor, but if it’s freaking out because of the paths why don’t you just move them on to your Mac and relocate them in Traktor?

Or, move the collection with it?

I don’t need to move them…I need to sync the two folders so they are the same on both machines.
