Pioneer DDJ RB controller: conncting to dj mixer…

Please help me out here!

I’m trying to hook up the pioneer dj controller to my older Tascam X9 DJ mixer. The problem I’m running into is bad bad feedback when I connect the RCA cables to the back of the mixer. I’ve turned off the WI-FI on the laptop (this was a suggestion based on the Pioneer website under FAQs for sound issues) and it still has bad feedback.

I would imagine that hooking up this controller to a mixer is pretty easy - however has anyone else had issues with buzzing and feedback? I really want to have the controller hooked up to the mixer since the Tascam X9 has my JBL speakers hooked up to it.

I would appreciate anyone’s experience with this…

are you inputting into line or phono?

I have tried both phono and line. Same results: buzzing feedback.

Can you try hooking the RB up to another set of speakers to see if the problem is with the controller? If you can, get a RCA male to 1/8" female and plug your headphones in directly to see if it’s indeed the controller.
