Pioneer DDJ-T1 Audio Interface Usable for Production

I’m really thinking of getting the pioneer for mixing. But just wondering could the in built audio do as good a job as my fast track pro. I’m producing using logic on the mac. I also do a bit of podcasting, but thinking I could use the microphone input on the pioneer to keep on recording that. I just want to know everyones opinion and is this a good idea or not. Obviously the fast track pro is small, but would mean selling it I could get a little more cash towards the pioneer.

It will work, probably not the best, but it should theoretically definitely work. I was planning on doing the same thing with my S4, but I’m a gear whore who likes to blow money so I picked up a Komplete Audio 6 and am using that as my interface.

haha! I’m the same, i do love having bits and pieces laying about. I am tempted to keep the fast track pro mainly cause I know it will do a better job, I’m probably more looking at the fact that selling that will put me a step closer to the Pioneer lol!

It’d work, but you won’t get any better quality than your Mac’s built-in sound card (for line-level inputs). Then again, I’m not sure the Fast Track gives you that either…but I’d bet its mic pres are less noisy than the ones on the Pioneer.
