I have to agree, porter seems like he rages parties. Not to mention he’s living the life fresh out of high school
I saw him @ Frequency in Edmonton AB. and he was freaking nuts make me go off!
Porter’s DJ sets are cool if you enjoy listening to tracks for 20 seconds and cutting from drop to drop. Saw him at a festival, when you only mix drops of bangers and the set starts at a 10 energy level and stays there the entire time then it has no where to go and everything blends together and loses meaning- there’s no journey and it turns into just noise.

I’m impressed to see he only uses the S4. It gives him that On-the-Go style, and Im sure he knows it like the back of his hand
Agree, his recent live Essential Mix; awful IMO, a real turn off for me. But some peeps like him, c’est la vie.
As an aside, I see Skrillex headlining SW4 - and there was me thinking of going, think I’ll keep the £’s in my pocket.
I’m not into his music or this scene at all, but he seems like a cool genuine guy in a world mainly populated by total douchebags. Good on him and good luck to him.
yeah him and Zedd got it lucky being so young and be living the dream. I wonder what setup Zedd uses. But it is good to see porter using the S4

There was a time not too long ago when I didn’t know any better and would have looked up to him and thought he was a great DJ, but I used to be pretty tasteless. That’s cool he uses an S4, it’s too bad he can’t actually mix with it- and it has nothing to do with the music he plays since I really enjoy a lot of electro in the hands of a skilled DJ.
I try to be open minded about all types of music and never be judgemental of what other people are into… but I have to say I really hate this crap.

Thats his style and people rock to it. The set I saw at frequency wasnt like that at all…there wasnt any real downtime but hell when you play from 4:30-6am you cant really have a mellow set. You do have to realize that Porter is a Producer first and a DJ second…and hes only 18 years old…he doesnt have the YEARS of wisdom like some other people…For what he does and how old he is…he fucking rocks it. If people want to hate on a DJ…at least pick one that is totally illegitmate…like Pauly D
