Pretty girl needs help with problem.

okay im not a girl but I still need help!

A few days ago i bought myself the Reloop interface edition 2.
After installing everything correctly (followed a tutorial on youtube) I discovered that I get no audio through my laptop but only through my headphones. I have tried several re-installs and also every option available in traktor LE settings(For example Input and Output routing). Somehow traktor only sees my reloop soundcard and not the soundcard of my laptop.

I use:
Traktor LE (updated to 1.2.6)
an Acer laptop with Vista 32-bit
It has a Realtek HD audio soundcard

Im a total noob in computers so that makes it only more difficult:stuck_out_tongue:

Your laptop probably only has one stereo channel of output

unless you use ASIO4all to splitt up your headphones/monitor (latency is an issue)

i do reccomend using a 2 output soundcard such as an audio2dj or numark i/o

Are you trying to get the master channel sound out of your laptops speakers while you have your monitor on the headphones connected to the audio interface in the controller?
That won’t work, Traktor can only use one audio interface at a time.

Did not know ASIO4ALL could do that, anyway, that’s not a feature of Traktor.

ASIO4ALL creates a simulated universal asio driver for windows that allows you to incorporate multiple soundcards or even certain built in soundcards with muliple outs. but like i stress … the quality is not that great and does not compare to actual asio drivers out on the market but it is good to use for the temporary setup. hopefully this helps, we all have to start somewhere. :slight_smile:

Your controller has 2 stereo channels, don’t see why you want to use your laptop’s soundcard. Wouldn’t recommend aggregating with asio4all to be honest.

I did some tests before i read all your comments though and figured out that i need external boxes (I used a 5.1 logitech set). That way i can use headphones and boxes without needing a 2 output soundcard.
Apperently my laptop goes on some kind of mute or something?:confused:

Anyway, it works fine now but i do have one last question.
Somehow i can not listen to one track without hearing the other one which would be the main track at that moment. Of what i can remember when i started with a hercules rmx is that it IS possible to listen to only 1 track instead of both. Is it just something that the reloop lacks, or am i a bigger moron than i think i am?
