Problem w/ search function in Traktor

Problem w/ search function in Traktor

Say I type something in the Traktor search bar to browse through all my files in my Track Collection … nothing happens. I see “Please wait while filtering …” in the browser screen. It stays indefinitely.

I use Traktor Pro v.1.2.4

So … does anyone know what causes this?

Is your track folder consolidated in one place on your drive? Are you working from an itunes playlist, external drive, super old computer, or anything else that might make it really hard for Traktor to find your stuff? Is your Traktor library file path specified in the settings properly?

Could be any number of these things. The only other cause of this would be not having any music on your computer.

All my music is in a folder called Music on my laptop (which is a month new)

I don’t use iTunes (I use foobar instead).

Have you imported the tracks into your collection?

i’ve found itunes to be a necessary evil for traktor,

Yeah, itunes and traktor = best working combo

yeah (not all my music library, since traktor crashed when doing so)

also I don’t like the fact that Traktor can’t import .m3u playlists
