Proven Low-Latency USB Hubs?

As my amount of controllers grows the 2 ports on my macbook pro become less and less sufficient. I am concerned about latency being an issue in any generic USB hub I buy at a local store. I am worried about internal routing/signal management adding latency. Can anyone suggest a good model not just from experience but that has proven low-latency technology?
